Anton Randall Couture

Paid over R2000 for something and was treated so so poorly by Anton and his wife! She was so so so rude and so was he.. just because I wanted to make sure about something. After I mentioned that I'm not paying a R100 for something here ...I'm paying over 2k and its within one's right to ask as many questions about the purchase and even if I ask the same questions 4 times if i have to....I am making sure. The wife got frustrated with the same question ( honestly how can one make a judgment as a customer if an item just hangs there and you don't fit it on... obviously the customer wants to be sure they don't fall on their face when walking) Then I got told I'm treating her like a child. I got reprimanded by Anton and his wife for not trusting their judgment.

He then abruptly took the garment and demanded it to be fitted on.... (who wants to still fit on something with that kind of vibe?)

I was not at all rude (I have witness to that) but was told by the wife to treat her with respect. While she was counting out my hard cash for the item .... Anton mentioned that he was not a "uitenhage" designer.... and the day before he explicitly bad mouthed other bridal boutiques and owners. Clearly there's no shame in defaming the character of other peoples hard work and their success.

The irony of it all was that it was a "Uitenhage" designer that recommended him in the first place. The item was in fact still not adjusted accordingly and I had to take it to someone else.

They definitely need to go for training on how to deal with customers.... just not sure where they can be schooled on correcting bad manners. I may not be a dress designer, but where I come from ( Uitenhage) respect is a two way street.
