Car service city woodmead, what a bunch of jokers. They break cars more than fix it. And if you take the car back to them they refuse to repair it unless you pay for it again. If you value your car then don't take it to Car service city, you will live to regret it.

Good day

I booked in our car for service on 21 December. After the service we drove home which was 3 km away and the car was fine . Wednesday and Thursday we did not use the car and it was parked as we worked from home , this can be seen by the km used . On Friday evening we went to sandton city and the car was not taking off off as normal and not accelerating as normal. We told our self we would return the car on the 27th as it’s late and it’s Christmas Eve .Saturday when we went to church the engine light switched on , we tried to get hold of car city where the service was done and they were closed . I sent so many emails and whatsup messages and on Tuesday the 28th someone replied and the told me to keep the guarantee we need to take it to car service sandton. We took it there and explained the complication we were having with the engine . The engine would shake when we drove it and making noice . After checking the called my husband and told him that the previous service missed the coil and it should have been replaced with the service hence the engine was affected.

On Monday the 3 Jan the owners called me due to my emails sent and I explained the situation. He moved on to shifting the blame to us and not take responsibility that they missed it . He insisted we go there and show us what was done . I informed him I’m not a technical person I putted my trusted in you when the car was booked for service why after the first time we drove it the engine light came on . We explained to him what the guys at service centre sandton told us but he said there is nothing he can do. We have taken our car there 3 times and we always questioning the work done . Once they told us the changed the light bulbs and charged us for it but they never did . And we mentioned how do we know you doing the work that needs to be done .

To say I’m disappointed to the respond and the handling of this situation. He never called me back after laying my complain .when he said he was checking with the other branch , now I needs to spend my airtime and more money to do follow up. Where is the guarantee on the work . The engine was touched when the service was done and we trusted the company with the service they provided . We lost so much money. We were suppose to travel on the 26th but could not because of this situation yet the owner thinks it’s okay to put the blame on the customer instead of acknowledging their workers missed out it and try and get a resolution going. I even told the owner had we gone to work the following day after the service we would have picked it up early but because we stayed home and we picked it up as we were travelling it an issue and we took it back to one of their franchises and the report the told us was different from what he was saying . The km don’t lie , this car been seen if the car was used after the service to prove that the issue came from them
