Unprofessional, Unethical, disgusting after sales service
I purchased over 200sqm of tiles from itile Centurion, Crema polished at around 350 rand per sqm. After 6 months of installation the tile started to fade. After numerous unsuccessful requests for them to come out, I was finally visited after two months by Mr Manny Gouveia. Upon arriving he was very rude and unpleasant, basically investigating my furniture that may have caused the fading / damage (two bar stools) although the fading was within a 160 sqm area and the chairs were in a 1 sqm area. Manny Gouveia informed me that there was something definitely wrong with the tiles and would contact the supplier and revert. During this time I informed his colleagues of the unpleasant visit, who then informed me that he treats his staff no better and I should put it in writing which I did. Within a few days of this I received an email from itile informing me that there is no defect in the tile but the reflection of the light that is an optical illusion. I have thereafter requested that someone else come out to have a look but am given the run around. it is disappointing and disgusting that itile would respond in this manner after me spending such a large sum of money at their store. Looking at all the other negative reviews on this site and no response from itile, I have come to the conclusion that this unethical and unprofessional behaviour is a normal business practise. I have had numerous tile professionals come look at the tiles who confirm there is definitely a defect and no optical illusion.
I challenge the CEO (Sam) to have to decency to send someone out to look at this optical illusion. Stop taking customers money while selling a bad product.
